Widebody Kits

Grades this part is tooled in
- FRP
Primed and paint-ready. The usual grade for arch sets and replacement panels, because a widebody conversion is painted body color anyway.
- Vacuum carbon
Gloss clear coat, for conversions that show carbon rather than paint.
- Dry carbon
Prepreg, lightest, finished twill or forged weave. Used on show and track builds.
Five grades run through the same molds. Ask for the grade by name on the quote — it changes weight, finish on arrival and price band, not fitment.
Questions buyers ask
- Do the arches bolt on or does the factory panel have to come off?
- Both exist and it depends on the kit. Bolt-on arch sets sit over the factory panel; replacement fenders and quarter panels take it off. The kit description states which, and it changes the fitting labour substantially.
- What wheels do I need?
- Wider wheels with a revised offset — the exact figures depend on the kit and are supplied as fitment data. Send the wheel spec you intend to run with the enquiry so it can be checked against the arch clearance.
- Can I fit a widebody arch set to a car that already has a CMST body kit?
- The lip, skirts and diffuser of a widebody kit are sized to the wider body, so the standard-width parts will not line up with the new arches. Order the widebody versions of those panels.
- Is the conversion reversible?
- Bolt-on arch sets are, allowing for the fixing holes. Replacement panels are not — the factory fender or quarter panel is removed.
- Which material for a widebody conversion?
- FRP for most, because the car is being painted anyway and FRP arrives primed. Carbon grades are used where the arches are meant to show weave.
