Marques carrying this part
Grades this part is tooled in
- Dry carbon
Prepreg, lightest, finished twill or forged weave. The usual choice — a canard is small and always visible.
- Vacuum carbon
Gloss clear coat, the volume carbon grade.
- FRP
Primed, for canards painted to match the bumper rather than showing weave.
Five grades run through the same molds. Ask for the grade by name on the quote — it changes weight, finish on arrival and price band, not fitment.
Questions buyers ask
- Do canards actually do anything on a street car?
- They generate a small amount of front downforce and vortices along the flanks, which matters at track speed. On a road car the honest answer is that the effect is real but minor, and most orders are for how they finish the bumper corner.
- Are they sold in pairs?
- They are ordered per side and normally supplied as the set for the vehicle. Say on the enquiry if you need a single side for a repair.
- Do they need drilling?
- Most designs do — the bumper face is drilled for the fixings. Adhesive-only fitting is not recommended on a part that sees airflow load.
- Will canards for one bumper fit a different bumper on the same car?
- No. The mounting face is specific to the bumper shape. If you are converting the bumper, order the canards for the replacement bumper, not the factory one.
- Can vent trim be ordered without the canards?
- Yes. MOQ is one piece and orders can be mixed across parts.
