About CMST Tuning
CMST designs, tools and manufactures carbon fiber exterior parts, supplies forged wheels under the CMST Forged line, and sells them to tuning shops and distributors rather than to vehicle owners. Eight workshops, twelve people in design and engineering, and one working rule: no mold gets cut until a printed master has been fitted to a real car.

What the company actually does
CMST started in Guangzhou in 1993, making vehicle anti-theft locks and powered sunshades — a parts business before it was a styling business. The move into modification came with a national retail chain at the turn of the 2000s, and the manufacturing business as it exists now dates from 2011, when the CMST brand was set up to design, produce and sell exterior upgrades under one roof.
That history matters for one practical reason: CMST is a factory that also learned the fitting bay. The people specifying a kit have installed kits. It is why the development process spends money on a printed master and a trial fit before it spends money on tooling, and why hardware, fitting instructions and a parts pack ship with the kit instead of being an afterthought.
The customer is a shop or a distributor, not a car owner. Minimum order is one piece, orders can be mixed across vehicles, and the same vehicle is usually tooled in more than one material grade so a single supplier covers both a show build and a volume order.

How it got here
- 1993
Founded in Guangzhou, manufacturing vehicle anti-theft locks and powered sunshades.
- 2000
National modification retail chain headquartered in Beijing — the entry into the modification trade.
- 2011
Brand upgraded to CMST; the business becomes a single R&D, production and sales operation for exterior upgrades.
- 2013
Joined the China Automobile Modification Products Association as a council member.
- 2023
Headquarters and production moved to Dasha Town, Sihui, Guangdong.
Founded in Guangzhou in 1993 as an auto-parts manufacturer; headquarters and production moved to Sihui, Zhaoqing in 2023.
Manufacturing
What is in the building
Eight workshops covering the five material grades, plus the design and test-fit work that happens before any of them run.
- 01
Design and 3D
A twelve-person design and engineering team builds every part in CAD against the vehicle's own body surface, checks it with a 3D scanner, then prints a master for the trial fit.
- 02
Prepreg and vacuum lines
Two vacuum vessels run the dry carbon program — prepreg cut and laid by hand, cured under heat and pressure. The high-temperature vacuum line runs the volume carbon grade.
- 03
FRP, ABS and PP
Glass fiber lay-up, vacuum-formed sheet and injection molding sit alongside the carbon lines, so one vehicle can be offered in five grades without going outside.
- 04
Forged wheels
CMST Forged is a separate product line: 6061 aerospace aluminum, monoblock and two-piece, cut on two CNC lines to CMST specifications and load, balance and runout tested before packing.
- 05
Finishing and packing
Surface inspection against a written standard, then CMST-branded export packaging with a product label and a parts pack — distinctive packaging is part of how distributors prove what is genuine.
- 06
Fitment support
Hardware and instructions ship with the kit; installation videos are available for most vehicles.

Development
The mold is the last thing we pay for
Eight stages from a drawing to a packed kit. Stage four is the one worth reading twice — the master is bolted to an actual car before any tooling money is committed, which is when a fit problem is still cheap to fix.

- 01
3D design against the vehicle's body surface
- 02
Drawing sign-off with the buyer
- 03
3D-printed master produced
- 04
Master trial-fitted on the actual car
- 05
Master corrected and finalized
- 06
Mold cut from the finalized master
- 07
Production sample run and checked
- 08
Sample shipped for a fit check before the batch runs
This is the difference a trade buyer can actually invoice against: a kit that goes on in the bay in the time you quoted the customer.
Quality control
Carbon and FRP parts are inspected against a written surface standard before packing: no pits, no whitening, no waviness, no wrinkling and no print-through. Parts that fail go back rather than into a box.
Forged wheels are load, balance and runout tested before packing. Every order ships in CMST-branded packaging with a product label and a parts pack, so a shortage is evident at first opening and genuine parts are distinguishable from copies.
Registered design patent
CMST01 — CN 2021302123473. One registered design patent; CMST does not claim a patent portfolio beyond it.
The same processes, off the car
The prepreg and vacuum processes that make aero panels also run a small line of carbon fiber goods — luggage, wallets, backpacks, helmets, racing seats, furniture and interior pieces. It is not a business line this site sells, and it is not in the trade catalog.
It is here because it says something a trade buyer can use: the carbon capability is not a single bumper mold and a spray booth. The same lay-up, cure and finishing skills are being run daily on parts where a visible weave defect is not negotiable.

Awards cabinet
These are industry awards, not product approvals. If your market requires a specific approval — TÜV or ABE for body panels, JWL/VIA or TÜV for wheels — raise it at enquiry stage and we will confirm in writing what documentation can be supplied for that part.
