Grades this part is tooled in
- FRP
Primed and paint-ready. The usual grade for fenders and arch sets that get painted body color.
- Dry carbon
Prepreg, lightest, finished weave, for fenders meant to show carbon.
- Vacuum carbon
Gloss clear coat, the volume carbon grade.
Five grades run through the same molds. Ask for the grade by name on the quote — it changes weight, finish on arrival and price band, not fitment.
Questions buyers ask
- Replacement fender or arch extension?
- A replacement gives a continuous surface with no seam but the factory panel comes off. An extension bolts over the factory panel, is reversible, and shows a defined step. The kit states which construction it is.
- Do wider fenders need wider wheels?
- Yes — a widebody fender only looks and works right with the wheel and offset it was designed around. Send the wheel spec with the enquiry so clearance can be checked.
- Is the rear panel a fender too?
- In everyday speech yes, but the catalog calls the panel behind the door a quarter panel, because on most cars it is welded to the body and replacing it is a different job. It has its own category.
- Does the fender vent come with it?
- On the designs that have one, yes. Several kits list fender vent trim and arch garnish as separate items — check the kit contents.
- Can I fit widebody fenders without the rest of the kit?
- Physically yes, but the standard-width lip, skirts and diffuser will no longer line up with the wider body. Order the widebody versions of those panels too.
